Outside reading

Once a week, we go outside to truly experience nature.  Last week, we did a walk through the Sandburg woods.  This week we read a story outside.

Firefighters today!

Today we were visited by the firefighters about being "Rabbit Ready."  This means that every house and room should have two exits.  The firefighters also gave homework of making an exit map. 

Great day in the rain!

Riley, Stephanie and I did the Color Me Rad run today. Although it was raining we still had a blast getting tons of colors splashed on us. Here are some pre race pics and some post pictures as well.

Overture Center fun!

Here we are at the show! Then we ate a great pizza, cleaned windows and saw a huge squash at the children's museum.

Literacy centers

We have been working hard on some literacy centers of read to self,read to a partner and reading some poetry. Here are some photos of the red lions using toobaloos to practice reading.

Eating lunch in the classroom

On Friday, the kids earned their first incentive of letters- eating lunch in the classroom! Here is a photo of a red lion eating in the room!

•field trip to Overture Center/ Children's
Museum
•open house.
