¡Feria del libro!
We hosted a special event in the Sandburg library so we were lucky to go there and select the books we liked most before the shopping. Here there are some of our pictures.

Please help the Sandburg Garden and Unicycling Clubs raise money by volunteering to help at the Madison Half Marathon Sunday, May 26, 2013. We need at least 20 people to sign up (any school age kid with a parent counts as a volunteer). You will get an email telling you to go to an orientation, but you do not have to go! Only one representative for the group will do that.

4. You will receive a confirmation email if you gave an email address. The email confirms the shift that you volunteered for. IMPORTANT: You do not need to attend any of the volunteer orientations listed in the email.
5. You can sign up for any other available volunteer opportunities on Sat. May 25 or Sun. May 26 and list Sandburg Elementary as the organization you are volunteering for. Our school will receive a donation for every shift.
6. If you have questions or have trouble signing up online contact Ms. Brennan or Ms. Wolfe at Sandburg.

Change of poetry party time, cambio de la hora de la fiesta de poesia
Change of Time: The Poetry Party will be on Friday, May 10th from 9:00 am to
10 am, immediately after Breakfast with a Buddy event. This is to accommodate parents to be able to
come to both events.
Cambio de horario: La fiesta de poesía será el viernes, 10 de Mayo de las 9 am hasta las10 am, inmediatamente después del evento Desayuno con un amigo. Este cambio es para acomodar a más padres poder venir a los dos eventos.

Our Lions have taken home a booklet of poems. They will be reading , reciting and telling you about them. When inspired encourage them to compose their own.
