Simetría

Qué divertido trabajar con simetría. Hemos aprendido la palabra "espejo" y las hemos usado para construir nuevas figuras simétricas desde su eje de simetría.

Libre elección!

Después de comer podemos elegir qué hacer. Algunos elegimos quedarnos en clase y otros salieron al patio. Estamos muy concentrados y aprovechamos el tiempo hasta para terminar trabajo pendiente o incluso para avanzar más.

Parachutes!

Today in the Science lesson we have been working on air resistance! we created a parachute...and we experimented and observed how the air resistance slows down the falling of the parachute!Fun!

¡Qué clase tan interesante...!

En matemáticas esta mañana hemos estimado y después medido objetos con unidades no estandarizadas. Llegamos a la conclusión que depende mucho la unidad que uses. Asíque para comparar objetos....¡tienes que medirlos con la misma unidad!

¡Qué difícil... pero nosotros lo hicimos!

En clase de matemáticas hemos jugado a "¿Cuántos bolsillos hay? entre todos hemos creado este diagrama de barras. En él podemos observar nuestras estimaciones del número de bolsillos que tenemos en total entre todos.

Riley fue la que más se aproximó.

At a time of thanksgiving, I realized how lucky we are to have a group of supportive and honest parents who work with their children at home. Your children are very lucky to have involved parents like you in their lives.

¡Día de elecciones!

Esta mañana temprano, algunos de nosotros hemos madrugado y hemos ido a votar con nuestros padres por la mañana. También, hemos aprendido que el lugar donde se depositan los votos se llama "urna".

Las gafas están de moda :)

Math homework

Homework:
Recently,we sent home Singapore math books.  Although these books are not in Spanish (sadly), they are still great independent math reinforcements for extra practice at home.  Once they are done with one level of a book, we will give them another math book.  Soon, we will be sending Reflex math passwords so that your child may practice their math facts on a home computer.
